Yeah ha, off to Tenerife tomorrow

Yeah ha, tomorrow I fly to Tenerife for a glorious week in the Sun and to attend a birthday party - I can't wait. I will be seeing my friends from Tenerife Scuba along with many others and I am looking forward to a week in the sun and a rest. However, due to a recent bout of spam registrations on Tenerife Times and the fact that I will be without an internet connection for most of the week I am having to take the 'unprecedented' step of temporarily disabling the sign up facility and also the log on facility - sorry but normal service will be resumed on my return.

You don't have to have a mop of wild blonde hair and ride a bicycle to make a big impression in London, just ask the team at Actual Properties. They have just returned from A Place In The Sun Live at the ExCel Centre in London, and are pleased to report that their stand promoting Tenerife properties, was the place to be seen.

The Tenerife Cabildo will carry out 2,000 telephone surveys in homes around the island during May and June this year with a view to getting a deeper insight in to the mobility habits of local residents. The surveys will be undertaken as part of the Plan Territorial Especial de Ordenación del Transporte de Tenerife (PTEOTT), the Tenerife Transport Plan, which has been on the drawing board since 1st April. The PTEOTT is a regulatory document laid out under the Island’s Territorial Order Plan, Plan Insular de Ordenación de Tenerife (PIOT), and it develops the model to be used to regulate the transport sector in line with the island’s territorial plan. The main objectives of the PTEOTT are planning of land based transport systems on the island of Tenerife, outlining routes, future itineraries, location, continuity and integration of the different means of transport available and setting up the strategies for the consolidation of an integrated public transport system. The first phase in the creation of the Plan is extremely important because it involves compiling the data which will form the basis used to quantify and characterise the type of trips which are currently being taken (territorial and urban organisation, current and...
