The surveys will be undertaken as part of the Plan Territorial Especial de Ordenación del Transporte de Tenerife (PTEOTT), the Tenerife Transport Plan, which has been on the drawing board since 1st April. The PTEOTT is a regulatory document laid out under the Island&rsquo;s Territorial Order Plan, Plan Insular de Ordenación de Tenerife (PIOT), and it develops the model to be used to regulate the transport sector in line with the island&rsquo;s territorial plan. The main objectives of the PTEOTT are planning of land based transport systems on the island of Tenerife, outlining routes, future itineraries, location, continuity and integration of the different means of transport available and setting up the strategies for the consolidation of an integrated public transport system.
