As the sun beat down for yet another stunning day on our recent holiday and the temperature gauge in our Tenerife Rental Car hit the heady heights of 32C, it was time to get some respite from the heat and visit El Medano (once again) where you are almost guaranteed to find a lovely cooling breeze. |

A landslide in Tenerife has caused the death of at least 2 people. The landslide happened at the popular tourist beach of Playa de Los Gigantes around 4pm yesterday (01/11/09). The UK Foreign office has confirmed that one of those killed was a 57 year old Brit Marion O'Hara.

Tenerife, like all European holiday destinations has seen a relatively small number of Swine Flu cases in recent months. There has been much speculation over the number of people who have contracted Swine Flu whilst in Tenerife and as this post ‘goes to press’ there are very few cases if any currently being treated on the Island. |

Watch CD Tenerife kick off their season live!
Sky Sports have won the rights to screen La Liga Primera Division (The Spanish equivalent of the Premiere League) this season and they are to feature CD Tenerife’s first game of the season (away to Zaragosa) as their Saturday night match.
