6 Ladies, 40 days and nights, 3000 miles, one small rowing boat and a great big ocean!

The six members of the all Ladies 'Row for Freedom' team have passed Tenerife and are now completing their final sea trails and preparations in San Sebastian before they head out on the 3000 mile Atlantic crossing from La Gomera to Barbados. If successful the ladies will have broken two world records, they will be the first all female team to complete an unsupported Trans-Atlantic rowing crossing and also the fastest.

  • Where will you get the best/cheapest deal?
  • Do you book flights and Hotel separately?
  • Do you use an Airline or Travel Agent?
  • Many people these days are used to booking flights online indeed many of the budget airlines will work this way only. What about accommodation though? Well for a number of years TenerifeScuba has tended to book this for customers using local contacts to get the best deals that we can for people. We have said “Book your flights and we will do the rest….” Simply the more money you can save getting and staying here the more you can spend on diving has been our philosophy.

    As the sun beat down for yet another stunning day on our recent holiday and the temperature gauge in our Tenerife Rental Car hit the heady heights of 32C, it was time to get some respite from the heat and visit El Medano (once again) where you are almost guaranteed to find a lovely cooling breeze.

    My wife and I are currently enjoying a stunning holiday in sunny Tenerife however, unlike our other holidays in Tenerife, this one is in August and WOW, what a difference we are seeing.

    Tenerife landslide causes deaths

    A landslide in Tenerife has caused the death of at least 2 people. The landslide happened at the popular tourist beach of Playa de Los Gigantes around 4pm yesterday (01/11/09).

    The UK Foreign office has confirmed that one of those killed was a 57 year old Brit Marion O'Hara.
