Los cristianos, holiday rentals in Tenerife
(Sunday, 04 March 2007) Written by hopper

If you wander around the town of Los Cristianos in the south of Tenerife today, its very hard to imagine just what it was like 50 years ago let alone over 150 years but (according to Wikipedia) Los Cristianos was nothing more than a hamlet.

The first permanent settlement of Los Cristianos was in the 1860s when it was described by Pedro de Olive as “a hamlet in Arona, with three one-storey houses, a two-storey house and a hut.” It was officially recognised in governmental documents as been established in 1888 by 29 houses and a cave.

How much has Los Cristianos changed? Take a look at this photograph of Los Cristianos from the air by our friends at Tenerife-photo.

Los Cristianos is these days arguably the most famous resort in Tenerife. It has grown from its humble fishing village origins to become the important resort that it is today. The town is now full of quality hotels, first class apartments and villas that are much sort after in the Tenerife real estate market.

If you couple Tenerife's all year round spring like climate with the myriad of facilities available in the Los Cristianos area then you come up with the complete Tenerife rental investment package. Los Cristianos takes full advantage of this. There are many quality apartments available for rental in the area, many of which are available on long-term lets, particularly useful if you wish to escape the UK winters.

Looking for Tenerife property sales or rentals in Tenerife and in particular the Los Cristianos area? Take a look at Tate Properties, their website is crammed not only with residential properties for sale and rent but it also has an impressive businesses sales section.
