We have just been informed by Cabildo Insular de Tenerife (the Tenerife Tourist office) that Ricky Martin will be palying in Tenerife this week, enclosed is the email with details of the concert, tickets and venue.

Latin superstar Ricky Martín appears live under the stars in Candelaria, Tenerife, on Thursday 26 July, 2007, at the Municipal Football Ground. The sexy Puerto Rican winds up his European Blanco y Negro tour with a charity concert in aid of the local home Casa de Acogida, which is  run by the Dominican monks in Candelaria.

Production manager for the mega event is Chris Lamb, who stage manages concerts for the likes of U2 and Madonna.  Ricky’s concert is part of the annual Candelaria Music Festival organised by the town council in association with Rolo Producciones. The bi lingual singer who shot to fame with hits like María and Livin´La Vida Loca  has just successfully toured Latin America and the United States breaking box office records according to Billboard magazine. Apart from his greatest hits, Ricky Martín will also perform new sounds from Africa and Brazil in Tenerife.
Tickets are now on sale priced 25 euros available from Candelaria town hall, El Corte Inglés, Tiendas By Tipo, Sonora Discos and online from CajaCanarias bank’s Entrada Directa service www. generaltickets.com.
There are also discount rates for young residents in the borough (15, 10 & 6 euros) and the older generation will also be livin’ la vida loca on the night of the 26th with one thousand free tickets available for Candelaria’s OAPs.
