The nearest neighbouring Canary Island to Tenerife is the Island of La Gomera which can be seen as you look out to sea from the south west coast of Tenerife.  It was whilst we were sat having a meal in a bar in La Caleta looking out to sea and La Gomera that we decided to take a trip over the next time we were over in Tenerife for a holiday.

Once home we started to put into place the bits required for our trip to La Gomera, we needed a ferry crossing and accommodation. Using the internet we booked both of these, securing a place on the Fred Olsen Fastcat out of Los Cristianos Harbour and also 2 nights accommodation in the La Gomera Parador perched high above the Island’s capital of San Sebastian.

All we now needed to do was countdown the days until we were back in Tenerife and ultimately La Gomera, we couldn’t wait.
