Let me tell you a secret, I have seen Madonna and her Child in Tenerife. Not the singer Madonna and her Baby David that she adopted from Malawi but the real Madonna and her child - Jesus. Let me explain a little more.

Earlier this year I was fortunate to be diving with Chris and Sarah from Tenerife Scuba along with Mel, Lynne and another couple. As we approached an area just outside of Palm Mar we dropped anchor, kitted up with our dive gear and entered the water. All exept Sarah who stayed on the rib to await our return - thanks Sarah.

I just love the diving in Tenerife, it really is one of the dive worlds best kept secrets and you really should try it some time.

The dive was as usual great, we saw a great deal of marine life and even entered a cave known locally as Sharks Cave. After leaving the cave, we started to descend further and as we reached the 30m mark, I saw a figure looking at us from out of the blue, was I narked,? Was I seeing things? No but there in front of us was the Madona with Child. Spooky yet quite sureal.  

Here is a picture I took the statue. It really is stunning and a sight that not many vistors or residents of Tenerife will have seen.
