As from 13th December 2006, HCCT (Holidays) Ltd has ceased trading, they were the operators of CT2 and LOCO flight and holiday companies that specialized in flights and low cost holidays to Tenerife. Here is a copy of the announcement posted on their web site:

We regret to inform that H.C.C.T. (Holidays) Ltd ATOL 2067 based in Cheshire, has ceased trading with effect from 13th December 2006. There will be no more outbound flying and passengers are advised not to travel to the airport.

Passengers who were due to travel and had a flight booked with this company will be unable to travel. You will however be able to make a claim on the ATOL bond.

Passengers currently overseas should be able to continue their holidays as planned and fly home on their original flights.

Just to reassure you a little, my Father was booked on a flight with this company for January, on learning of this he went to the Jet2 web site and tried to re book his flight, he secured his seat for less than he had originally been charged.

Don't waste any time, re book your flights, below are some tools to help y ou find alternative flights.

Latest Update:

I has been reported recently in the media that CT2 & LOCO were ATOL bonded to the sum of around Ģ6million. This figure, if true, should be sufficient cover to refund all the companies customers in full.

Your first port of call (according to Trading Standards and the Credit Card Companies) is with ATOL - see the link in the post above.

Should you get no joy there (but you should!), if you paid by credit card you can claim against your credit card insurance company.

With ATOL you have until 12th December 2007 to register your claim and this claim should take around 1 month to settle - however, this maybe longer in particularly busy periods.

Good Luck.

Thanks for that Andy, only just found out the news and booked my family and I on those flights with Jet2. Saved Ģ300 on the prices Monarch are charging. Just need to sort out getting this money back off the CAA. Fun fun fun.

To everyone caught up in this CT2 fiasco, Jet2 have just added extra capacity and flights on the 22nd Dec and 2nd Jan. Those Christmas and New Year trips might not be ruined after all.
