Q: Hi, My wife and I are due to visit Tenerife for our holidays this year in June. W ehave booked our holiday and will be staying in the Los Crisitianos area. Can you tell us if there are any Nudist Beaches near to this area? We have visite one in Greece last year and enjoyed the freedom. It would be nice if we can do this again in Tenerife. PS. A: Hi David, glad to hear that you like te site and that both you and your wife will be visiting Tenerife for your holidays in June. So you want to visit a nudist beach in Tenerife? With over 200 miles of coastline, Tenerife has many beaches and coves, some of which are very private and I dare say that if you and your wife were on your own you could sunbathe naked but if the Guardia Civil come calling, don't blame Tenerife Times, however there is some good news because

there are offical Nudist Beaches in Tenerife, the main ones are:

Playa de la Tejita (El Médano)

Playa de los Patos (La Orotava)

Playa de las Gaviotas (Santa Cruz de Tenerife)

Playa de la Tejita is the nearest one to Los Cristianos, (El Medano is about 10 miles away) and is very easy to get to. The beach is situated to the west of the town, the 'other side' of the Red Mountain.

There is also a small (I believe un-official) Nudist area that can be found in Costa del Silencio, it is at the bottom of Yellow Mountain and is quite difficult to get to if you have any mobility problems. I know of this area because I have been diving here and we can see the Nudists from the sea.

Your wife can always sunbathe topless on the beaches in and around Los Cristianos but there are no Nudist Beaches in the immediate area, at least none that I know of! Does anyone know any different?
