Recently my wife was talking to a work colleague who said she and her husband were coming to Tenerife for a holiday and in particular were to be staying in Palm-Mar. Members of her family had recently bought a second home in Tenerife and they are coming out for the first time.

My wife’s colleague knew we have a property in Tenerife and was herself going to look at the possibility of buying a property in the Palm Mar region as an investment for her and her husbands retirement. That got me thinking about how good an investment opportunity buying a villa or apartment in Palm Mar was, so I started an internet search to see what I could find.

My obvious starting point was the very informative Palm-Mar.com, this site has lots of information about the village as well as articles about new real estate developments in Palm Mar.

I also came across a Tenerife Real Estate Blog  that includes many posts about the Palm Mar area that has lots of details about future developments and proposals for the beach area.

One of the more interesting posts on the site was a direct quote from the Councilors of Arona’s Town Hall who (commenting on the recently passed plans to improve the beach front area of Palm Mar) say: “Now is the time to buy property in Palm-Mar, before prices go soar”!!

So it would seem that my wife’s colleagues are heading in the right direction by looking at Palm Mar for an investment opportunity. You heard it here on Tenerife Times first (well almost first!!).
