According to the UNESCO World Heritage web site, Teide National Park was listed because of 'its beauty and its importance in providing evidence of the geological processes that underpin the evolution of oceanic islands.' Full details of the listing can be found here complete with 3 stunning photo's that I have ever seen before. Teide is Europe's most visited National park with over 3million visitors per year, next time your in Tenerife, why not make it 3,000,001
