The Magic of the Tenerife 2008 Carnival

Are you coming to Tenerife at the end of January 2008 and early February 2008? If so, why not take in the 2008 Carnival in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

Santa Cruz de Tenerife Carnival 2008

This years 2008 Tenerife Carnival poster (See 2007 Tenerife Carnival Poster) has been unveiled and is pictured above. Its is designed around the Carnivals theme of 'Magic'.

The Santa Cruz de Tenerife Carnival start on the 16th January this year (which is unusually early) and finishes on 9th February.

The main dates are:

31st January: Gala for the Election of the 2007 Carnival Queen

02nd February: Proclamatory Parade

06th February: Funeral of the Sardine

08th February: Men´s Marathon in High Heels

09th February: Coso - The apotheosis of Carnival (16:00 hrs)

The Santa Cruz de Tenerife Carnival is second only to the carnival in Rio and is a must see attraction for anyone visiting Tenerife during January or Early February.
