World recession, credit squeeze, or the price of eggs in Timbuktu, which ever way you slice it there is no denying that property movement in Tenerife is going through a tough spell. People will always want to come out here, the sun, beaches and laid back lifestyle will always be in demand, but with money tight, people are looking to get the best deal possible.

It’s already noticeable in the local media, that property companies are trying to be more flexible and are open to offers, but maybe some people are looking to make a lateral move and try a new approach.

I recently saw an advert in a Los Realejos bar, advertising 2 caves for sale, well that’s all very well if Yogi Bear pops in for a drink, but maybe there is a solution out there on the internet. Lately I have noticed a new breed of direct selling websites that promise big savings on agent’s fees and commission. For instance there is www.buyprivateproperty.com it looks pretty user friendly, and if nothing else, it’s another option for buying and selling.

If you are going to all the effort of trying to buy or sell a property, it makes sense to take a little time to use the computer. Maybe you can beat the crunch with a few well placed clicks.
