CD Tenerife Pro Football in Tenerife

Today sees the start of the football season in the England and Scotland (the Premier League Starts next week) and so I thought it was a good time to let you know about Professional Football in Tenerife which starts itself on 31st August when CD Tenerife have a home match against Gimnastic de Tarragona from Catalonia, Spain at their 24,000 seater Estadio Heliodoro Rodriguez Lopez in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

CD Tenerife is the local Tenerife football professional football team and its based in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

They play their football in the Seguna Division which is one below the top Spanish League - La Liga.

There are 42 rounds in the league and these include the action packed local Derby matches at home and away with Las Palmas. These 2 matches attract capacity crouds and the atmosphere in and around the stadium is best described as 'charged'. It really is like an old time Derby Match and rivals the Old Firm Derby's of Celtic and Rangers or Liverpool and Everton.

I have uploaded a CD Tenerife fixture list and will be updating it throughout the season with the latest CD Tenerife football results and league postions.
