If you have searched for anything related to Tenerife Hotels or Los Cristianos hotels on the Internet recently you may well have come across the Paradise Park Hotel and Spa, they have recently launched a new advertising campaign aimed at increasing the hotels profile on the Internet.
As a direct result of this campaign (and the fact that it was my wife’s birthday), I thought I might take a look at this particular Los Cristianos Hotel and see if it actually lives up to its name – Is it really a Paradise Park?
My wife and I stayed at the Paradise Park for 2 nights, we chose to stay on the 7th floor in one of the Colonial Suites (it was her birthday and so I decided to ‘push the boat out’ as they say). The room was simply stunning complete with sitting area, a huge bed, and fantastic sea views out over Los Cristianos. The room was almost as big as our own 2 bedroom apartment in Tenerife.
There was a sumptuous bathroom, complete with separate walk in wet room type shower and Jacuzzi bath, fluffy cotton dressing gowns and quality toiletries.
We were staying at the hotel on a full board basis, the food whilst being buffet style was of very good quality and there was no shortage of it. In today’s economic climate, it must be so tempting for hotels to cut back on either the quality of the food they have on offer or the quantity they provide, I am happy to say that this was not the case at the Paradise Park, with 5 minutes to go to the end of service, kitchen staff were busy replenishing areas of the buffet that were not full.
There were some nice extra little touches at all meal times as well, these included Cava at breakfast, both cold and warm soups at lunch and Cheese and Biscuits as well as sweets at dinner. The food at the Paradise Park was without doubt excellent.
Usually when we go away, my wife and I try and book hotels that are not aimed at families, you certainly could not put the Paradise Park into this bracket, complete with a children’s club, junior disco and a child friendly animation team, Paradise Park was both popular and also very busy with families however this was not a problem and it did not spoil our enjoyment of the Hotel because for the ‘non-family’ holiday makers, as well as the adults only pool and sunbathing area above the main pool bar, Paradise Park has another ace up its sleeve – the 8th floor solarium.
The whole of the accessible area of the roof top of the hotel is reserved exclusively for the use of adults – this haven complete with swimming pool, bar/café and huge sun deck (with oversized wooden sun loungers) is a real gem. The views of Los Cristianos and Playa de Las Americas from up here are spectacular and are enhanced by the clear all round Perspex balcony walls. If you are a sun lover, the roof top solarium at the Paradise Park will not fail to impress.
If there is a downside to the hotel, for some it might just be its location which is a brisk walk from the sea front in Los Cristianos however the hotel even takes care of this with a free courtesy bus running to and from Los Cristianos at regular intervals during the day and early evening.
All in all, I have to say that both my wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Paradise Park and we would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone who is looking for a Tenerife hotel and yes, it did live up to its name.
PS: Whilst we were at the Hotel Paradise Park, both my wife and I took advantage of the Spa facility, a separate report will be published on TenerifeTime.com in the near future. |
