A landslide in Tenerife has caused the death of at least 2 people. The landslide happened at the popular tourist beach of Playa de Los Gigantes around 4pm yesterday (01/11/09).

The UK Foreign office has confirmed that one of those killed was a 57 year old Brit Marion O'Hara.

It would appear that  40m section of the cliff gave way and landed on people who were sun bathing below.
