Having booked our flights out to Tenerife way back in March, this latest stretch of  ‘UK Life’ has seemed like hard work.

We have been continually counting down 1st the Months, then weeks and now that we are almost into the last week, the days.

For Mrs H, its been an even longer slog. She was last out in Tenerife for a holiday way back in October – gosh, that’s all of 8 months ago. OK that’s not strictly true as she came out in March for 3days but that was more business than pleasure. I was out for a week so at least I got some time to relax and soak up the Tenerife lifestyle.

So, 8 days to go. The flights are booked (XL.com), the car booked (Autoreisen), the diving booked (Tenerife Scuba) and hopefully the sunshine booked as well.

I just need to get all my work and papers in order before I leave. That’s going to be easier said than done.

I know what you mean Michael. I spend all of my waking hours counting down to the next visit. It's now ten weeks tomorrow for me.
