Just Got back From the Compostella Beach Apartments on the 2nd September 06, After my 5th time of staying in these Apartments. From the moment we landed to the moment we left the Holiday was great and all the locals are very Friendly

I have to say from the bottom of my heart Compostella Beach is the place to stay if your visiting Tenerife. The Apartments are very clean and tidy and there is a maid sevice for people who book via travel agents. We didn't have this service because we booked independantly.

In any brochure you look at it will say that Compostella Beach Apartments are in Playa de las Americas, this is not true as Playa de las Americas centre is at least 10-15 mins walk away, where as Los Christianos Centre is only 5 mins, so I think the people that publish these holiday brochures need to adjust what there brochure says.

There are 2 bars on the Complex with offer very good entertainment:
MALIBU: Offers a range of entertainment and meals, which include A Live Band everynight, Karaoke for all you singer wannabee's, Magic Show for the little kids, and a Parrot Show to name a few.
HAPPY DAYS 2: Also offers a wide range of entertainment, English Football matches, Internet access, Sunday Lunch, Very Friendly staff, Pool tables, and Air Hockey Tables.

I could go on all day telling you all what Compostella Beach has to offer, there is sooo much to do.

If you are self catering or room only in Tenerife then the best and cheapest place to eat is 'The President Chicken King' this is near Las Vistas Beach, (next door to McDonalds, Yes there are McD's in Tenerife) The staff are very friendly, and the food is excellant, you won't get any better in any of the resturants on the island, no matter how hard the PR's try to drag you in

The Only bad thing I can say about Tenerife are all the toutes that try selling you everything, from Time Shares, Sun Glasses or even just to eat in there Resturant, as I've always said and I'm sure some will agree, if I or anyone wanted something we would approach them, fair enough they are trying to earn a living, but for me that spoils a relaxing Holiday.

If you are looking for a week or 2 away in Tenerife then like I said book into Compostella Beach apartments, but don't book via your local Travel agent, shop around on Google for Holiday Apartments, There are millions of websites on there that offer the same as a travel agent at half the price. One site that may interest you as I always use them, is www.tenerife-holiday-apartments.com They offer a wide range of apartments in very good locations.

Yes you will get alot of people trying to get you to go to Time Share presentations which like I said spoils a relaxing holiday, all we did when we where approached was to tell them we wasn't interested and I remember one day that my mate was asked if he was over 25 (my mate is 27) but my mate said he was only 15 which seemed the do the trick.

Welcome to Tenerife Times Martyn.

Glad to hear you had yet another good holiday in Tenerife.

Re the touts, a good friend of mine had a great answer, on his first day there, one tout came up to him and tried to get him to go to a presentation about Time Share. My mate said he would love to, his missus would love to as well BUT he couldn't as he was an undischarged bankrupt (not true), word soon got round to leave him alone!
