One of the benefits of Tenerife’s eternal spring climate is that it tends to get quite a large number of last minute bookings. Last minute Tenerife (as it is sometimes called by workers in the Tourist trade) is always useful as a fall back holiday plan. The conversations often go along the lines of ‘The summers been bad, lets go to last minute Tenerife’ or ‘I could really do with some sun on my back before we head into the winter months, where can we go for some sun at the last minute?’ Tenerife is often the answer.

Quite often, holiday makers these days are leaving the booking of their flights and accommodation until the last minute. Tenerife is an Island that has historically benefited from these sorts of bookings and with more and more visitors to the island booking on-line, Tenerife is a popular last minute destination.

One of the main reasons we bought out Tenerife property a few years back was so that we could get away for breaks, especially at the last minute. Tenerife appealed to us because of its being able to almost guarantee sun at any time of year. If we have been particularly busy at work and missed days off etc than we can book flight only and disappear at the last minute to Tenerife. Only last week, my wife and I flew out to Tenerife for a long weekend. Our flight was arranged at the last minute, Tenerife was calling and we went! 4 nights of wall to wall sunshine and best of all, my wife only had to use 2 days of her holidays from work.
