So we've told you how to get there, now lets show you why to go there. In our apartment in Tenerife, we have a book that we have built up over a period of time that we leave for our visitors to give them an idea about where to go and what to see.

The entry for La Mirador de Las Centilia simply states 'if you only do one thing whilst in Tenerife, hire a car and go here!' and I think in all honesty this is an understatement!
We were first introduced to the Mirador by a local cafe owner who said that he took his friends and family there when he wanted to impress them. He gave us directions and we stumbled upon it. We were not disappointed.

So enough of my ramblings; lets get on with the post.

As you park your cart and walk towards the Mirador, you are hit by the stunning views that are all around. If you face the entrance and look to the right (West) you can see first Los Crisitianos, then Las Americas and then onto San Eugiano.

Now pan round to the left (East), you will see, Las Galletas, the Volcano at Costa del Silencio, los Abrigos, El Madano and the airport (more of this later!).

Further East, you can see all the way down the coast to the Wind Turbines at Parque Eolico de Granadilla and beyond.

So now we have shown you the views, lets step inside the Mirador. The first thing that hits you is the wood, as you walk down the stairs towards the cafe you will see the mahogany floors and stairs.

Around the corner you are greated by the cafe and its views.

This is the WOW factor, there is a semi circular wall of glass that stretches from one end of the building to the other, it is simply STUNNING!

If you get a window table you are literally sat on the edge of the mountain, looking out over the airport and beyond out to sea.
You are higher than the aeroplanes as they come into land. It is facinating to sit there and watch the visitors to Tenerife come and go.

This is what I love best about the Mirador!
