Palm Mar, get away from the crowds in Tenerife PDF Print E-mail

On our recent trip to Tenerife, we spent a great afternoon at Palm Mar. Palm Mar is a tourist village between Las Galletas and Los Cristianos. There is a lot of development going on here but it’s a nice day out. Try it, you may just enjoy getting away from the crowds.

Palm Mar has a narrow yet long pebble beach that looks out to Los Cristianos and Playa de Las Americas. Our afternoon was spent, sitting in the sun watching the ‘locals’ enjoy a day at the beach. It really was a great afternoon spent ‘far from the maddening crowds.’

The flowers and shrubs that surround the buildings are beautiful, in fact, the flower picture used on our logo was taken here at Palm Mar.

If I have a problem with Palm Mar, its that the beach area has not been developed yet with bars and restaurants – however I am sure that this will change in the not too distant future.

Just to add to the above, Palm Mar is my home and it is beautiful but just to correct one comment, it isn't a tourist village, it has residential status and although many people have holiday homes there there will be no designated tourist complexes or hotels which makes it a very attractive place to live and holiday. Come down and have a drink at the newly opened Palm Bar in the Cape Salema complex and enjoy Palm Mar at its best...
